Established in 2004 under the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, the IPO is mandated to handle all matters affecting the university regarding its relationship in academic matters with other institutions nationally and internationally. Deriving its mandate from Statute 46 of the University  Statutes, the IPO collaborates with academic units to regularly update the database on the university’s partners regarding academic programmes, staff and student visits and exchanges. The IPO coordinates and promotes all external relations of the university regarding international exchange students and staff, international students, visiting scholars, external staff training programmes and research collaboration.
