The now International Programmes Office formerly called External Programmes Office was established in January 2004 under the Vice-Chancellor's office. The then Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kwesi Andam established this office to help bring together all exchange programmes and external relations the various departments had with other institutions in and outside of the country under a common office. The insight was to help in the effective organisation, management and recording of the inflow of people in and out of the university.
