Moving to another country can be a daunting prospect, but with all of our accommodation located on or very near to our compact and safe campus, you’ll soon feel at home

Living in University accommodation gives our international students security and their family back home peace of mind; our on-campus hostels are self-contained communities where students can quickly make friends and feel at home. We offer guaranteed accommodation to international students who meet certain criteria.

As an international or exchange student coming to KNUST for the first time, you’ll benefit from the opportunity to live and study alongside Ghanaian students, in a safe and welcoming environment.

Much of our accommodation is very near to the main University buildings and all of it is within two miles (three kilometres) of our campus.

Brunei Hostel (GUSSS)

The Brunei hostels on the KNUST campus are some of the most preferred hostels on campus. The rooms are large, utilities are good, security is on point and of course, the reputation of the hostel. Brunei hostel is officially known as the GUSSS hostels.

Mastercard

KNUST together with Mastercard Foundation (MCF) have partnered to construct the International Students Hostel as a way of accommodating the student body. This hostel is a 6-storey building that houses around 800 beds, offices, a car park, plus a magnificent architectural design.

The building complex is situated on campus in between Hall 7 and Africa Hall.
