On Friday, January 10, 2025, a team from the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, led by Ms. Elaine Oppong Peprah (Project Administrator) and including Mr. Hayford Tweneboah Kodua (Project Manager), Mr. Kwabena Owusu Ababio (Head of Stakeholder Relations), and Mr. Johnson Osei Bonsu, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Daniel Duah, the Dean of the International Programmes Office at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The purpose of the visit was to discuss modalities for the upcoming second cohort of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation Scholarship. Professor Duah warmly welcomed the delegation and commended their commitment to national development.
During the meeting, Professor Daniel Duah shared updates on the selection criteria for prospective scholarship beneficiaries and outlined new requirements following prior meetings with partners at the University of Memphis, USA.
Professor Duah emphasized that the King’s Scholarship is a collaborative initiative involving the Otumfuo Foundation, the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat (GSS), KNUST and the University of Memphis, USA. Its goal is to support Ghanaians pursuing Ph.D. studies in STEM fields at Memphis with the expectation that they will return to contribute to the development of the nation upon completing their degrees.
The meeting was also attended by Miss Ernestine Oheneba Danso (Collaborations and Partnerships Officer), Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi (Assistant Collaborations and Partnerships Officer), and Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong (Visibility and Communications Officer) all of the International Programmes Office.
