On Friday, July 11, 2025, Maïté Dupuis, Director for Training, Educational Outreach and Scientific Programs at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, Canada, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Daniel Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Dr. Henry Martin, Coordinator of the Perimeter Scholars International (PSI) Satellite Programme at KNUST, explained that discussions to establish the Satellite Programme began about two years ago, following a surge in applications from KNUST students to Perimeter Institute (PI) in Canada. In response to this growing interest, an agreement was reached to establish a Satellite Programme at KNUST, which was later formalized through a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

During the visit, Maïté Dupuis shared that her presence in Ghana is primarily as a guest of the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS). While in the country, she took the opportunity to visit KNUST, engage with students enrolled in the PSI Satellite Programme, and pay a courtesy call on the International Programmes Office.
