Exchange students from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, paid a courtesy call on the Dean of the International Programmes Office

On Monday, January 6, 2025, Paula Alice Roser, an undergraduate Materials Engineering student, and Janna Moritz, a postgraduate Environmental Engineering student from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany, paid a courtesy call on Professor Daniel Duah, the Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

They shared that this is their first visit to Ghana and expressed their excitement about the opportunity. Both Paula and Janna noted that their decision to come to KNUST extends beyond the academic exchange agreement between the two institutions. They expressed their eagerness to experience Ghana's rich culture, including its delicious cuisine, vibrant music, dance and people.

Professor Daniel Duah indicated that TUM is one of KNUST's closest partners in Europe and encouraged them to feel at home at the IPO. He highlighted various activities planned for the semester, such as Akwaba Night, the Food Festival, iHangout, etc.

Looking ahead, Professor Duah expressed his hopes for further expanding the partnership with TUM, particularly in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Sustainability Competitions, and Community Engagement using joint teams.

Professor Duah advised Paula and Janna to strike a balance between their academic pursuits and social activities during their time at KNUST.

Also present at the meeting were Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, the Senior Assistant Registrar, Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi, the Assistant Collaborations and Partnerships Officer and Mr. Attah-Nyame Assampong, the Visibility and Communications Officer.
