On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, a delegation from the French Embassy in Ghana paid a courtesy visit to Professor Daniel Y. A. Mr. Lecas used the occasion to review existing partnerships and explore new areas of collaboration aligned with the University's current priorities. He highlighted the longstanding 32-year partnership between KNUST and Beaux-Arts de Paris as one of the French Embassy’s key academic success stories in Ghana. He also underscored the importance of promoting French language and culture across Ghanaian universities and celebrated Ghana’s recent inclusion in the Francophonie.

Professor Daniel Duah warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed deep appreciation for the Embassy’s continued support of higher education and cultural exchange. Reflecting on his tenure as Dean, he noted that partnerships with the French Embassy and French Higher Education Institutions have grown significantly over the past four years. He commended the efforts of all parties in nurturing these relationships and specifically acknowledged Dr. Brami’s dedication since taking over from Dr. Florent Engelmann.
He reaffirmed KNUST’s commitment to global partnerships that drive academic excellence and innovation and concluded by expressing optimism for a sustained and fruitful collaboration.
Also present at the meeting were Dr. (Mrs.) Victoria Faleke Ogunnike, Head of the Department of Language and Communication Sciences; Dr. Edward Kofi Adu Manya, Senior Lecturer in the same Department; Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, Senior Assistant Registrar; Ms. Ernestine Oheneba Danso, Collaborations and Partnerships Officer; and Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong, Visibility and Communications Officer, all from the International Programmes Office.
