GRASAG-KNUST Meets IPO Dean to Strengthen Collaboration and Expand International Opportunities for Graduate Students

Representatives from the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG-KNUST) paid a courtesy call on the Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO), Professor Edmund Ekuadzi, to introduce the new leadership of the Association and to explore areas of collaboration for the benefit of graduate students.

During the meeting, the President of GRASAG-KNUST highlighted the Association’s key priorities for the academic year, including improving academic support systems for postgraduate students, expanding access to international research opportunities, and strengthening student engagement in global academic networks. He emphasized GRASAG’s interest in working closely with the IPO to facilitate international conference participation, research mobility, and capacity-building initiatives for graduate students.

Professor Ekuadzi welcomed the visit and commended GRASAG-KNUST for its proactive approach in seeking partnerships that enhance graduate student development. He expressed the IPO’s readiness to collaborate with the Association, noting that international exposure and academic mobility are essential components of a well-rounded postgraduate experience. The Dean also outlined ongoing and upcoming opportunities within the IPO, including exchange programmes, joint research initiatives, and scholarship avenues that graduate students can benefit from.

The meeting concluded with both parties affirming their commitment to work together to improve internationalisation opportunities for KNUST’s postgraduate community. Plans were made to establish a structured framework for collaboration, including regular engagements, joint projects, and information-sharing platforms to ensure graduate students are well-informed about available opportunities.

The courtesy call strengthened the relationship between GRASAG-KNUST and the IPO, laying the foundation for impactful partnerships aimed at advancing postgraduate education and global exposure at KNUST.

Also present at this meeting were Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, Mr. Joel Mensah and Ms. Patricia Frimpong Manso, all from IPO.
