On Wednesday, 19th November 2025, the International Programmes Office (IPO), KNUST, officially welcomed its new cohort of National Service Personnel for the 2025/2026 academic year. This year’s cohort comprises Victoria Mawunena Barns, who studied BSc Actuarial Science; Caesar Bondiyiri, who pursued BSc Development Planning; Gladys Obenewah Sekyi, a graduate of BA Linguistics; Patricia Frimpong-Manso, who studied BA Communication Design; Deborah Duah Amponsah, Eugene Nana Boamah, Irene Amos, and Grace Frimpong, all graduates of BSc Hospitality and Tourism Management.
The Dean of the Office, Prof. Edmund Ekuadzi, officially welcomed the Service Personnel and provided insight into the mandate of the IPO, the nature of work undertaken at the office, and his expectations for the year. He emphasized the importance of leveraging their individual strengths to work effectively under their assigned line supervisors, assuring them of continuous guidance and support throughout their service period. The Senior Assistant Registrar, Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, also gave an overview of the office, its structure, functions and key activities.
In her remarks, the Vice Dean, Prof. Augustina Angelina Sylverken, encouraged the Service Personnel to give their best and commit to personal and professional development, highlighting the National Service period as an important phase in preparing graduates for their future careers. She further assured them of the readiness of supervisory support in their transition to their roles. The meeting concluded with a shared sense of enthusiasm and readiness for the year ahead.
