The International Programmes Office (IPO), KNUST held the IPO KNUST Roadshow and the first session of the French Open Day at KNUST’s Obuasi Campus on July 14, 2023. The team comprised Prof. Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office, Cecile Sanz from Campus France, Shalom Agborli, Inbound Exchange Officer and Samuel Sarpong, Communication and Visibility Officer both from IPO.
The team was welcomed by Prof. Richard Boamah, Coordinating Dean for Obuasi Campus, KNUST. He gave a brief overview of Obuasi Campus. He stated that the campus was formerly a mining site and was later converted into a satellite campus in the year August 2019 with a population of 334 students. Currently, the student population is over 2,000 with about 15 academic programmes focusing on Engineering, Business Administration and Allied Health Sciences.
Prof. Duah gave the first presentation where he focused on exchange programmes for students and staff, memorandum of understanding, scholarships and passports services.
Cecile Sanz gave the second presentation on Universities in France and ways to apply for these universities and scholarships as Week as the services offered by Campus France to the university community.
The presentations were followed by an interactive Q&A. The SRC and student body were pleased and excited to have such great time with the panel.
