Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) have committed to strengthening their partnership following a visit by a delegation from KNUST. The team was led by Prof. David Asamoah, Pro Vice-Chancellor, and included Prof. Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office, and Phanuel Seli Kwadzo Asense, a Deputy Director of the University Information Technology Services. The visit took place at TUM’s city campus.

The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Juliane Winkelmann, Senior Vice President for International Alliances and Alumni. She welcomed the team warmly and highlighted ongoing student and faculty mobility initiatives, as well as numerous research projects that have helped the partnership thrive across multiple areas. She concluded by expressing TUM’s desire to further enhance the collaboration and achieve even greater success.

Prof. Asamoah expressed his appreciation for the progress made in the partnership and emphasized the importance of identifying new focus areas—particularly in business and entrepreneurship. He noted that leveraging research findings to develop business cases could improve outcomes for both KNUST and its graduates.

Prof. Winkelmann also shared an overview of TUM, noting that out of a student population of 52,584, approximately 45% are international students. She underscored additional opportunities to deepen student and faculty mobility.

The KNUST delegation is in Munich to participate in the EuroTech Partner Days at TUM.
