On 20th February 2026, the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) marked a significant milestone as it hosted its 10th White Coat Ceremony at the Great Hall to usher 295 Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) students into the clinical phase of their professional training. The memorable event brought together Staff, guests, proud parents, students and well-wishers to celebrate the next generation of pharmaceutical professionals.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished faculty members from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, KNUST, whose presence underscored the importance of the occasion. The White Coat Ceremony symbolizes a pivotal transition in the academic journey of pharmacy students, a moment when they formally embrace the responsibilities, ethics, and professionalism that define their training and future careers.
A particularly proud moment for the International Programmes Office (IPO), KNUST was the celebration of six outstanding international students who have reached this important milestone. All six students, hailing from Nigeria, stood tall as they donned their white coats, a powerful symbol of dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence in healthcare. Their achievement highlights not only their individual hard work but also the growing strength of KNUST’s international community.
Present to lend his support was the Dean of the IPO, Prof. Edmund Ekuadzi, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
