A delegation from Underground Contemporary Space Arts, Uganda, led by its Director, Miss Nantume Violet, along with Maria Oliviah Nakato and Zitoni Kayonga Tristan Tani, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Daniel Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). The visit was part of the ongoing collaboration between Underground Contemporary Space Arts and KNUST, which was established in 2019. The delegation aimed to strengthen ties with the Faculty of Art and to recruit and train more curators who will serve as cultural mediators between Ghana and Uganda.

During their visit, the team expressed appreciation for IPO’s efforts in advancing the partnership between the two institutions. Professor Daniel Duah warmly welcomed the delegation and emphasized the importance of South-South collaboration in fostering the collective growth of African institutions.
He noted that under the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), KNUST is willing to subsidize tuition fees for students from Underground Contemporary Space Arts enrolling at KNUST. He further reassured the delegation of IPO’s commitment to formalizing this agreement through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA).
Also present at the meeting were Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi, Assistant Collaborations and Partnerships Officer; Miss Blessing, a Human Resources finalist and intern; and Attah-Nyame Essampong, Visibility and Communications Officer.
