Dean International Programmes Office Holds Final Meeting with First Cohort of Tum Africa Talent Programme From KNUST

The Dean of International Programmes Office, Prof. Daniel Duah has held a final meeting with the first cohort of doctoral candidates from KNUST for the TUM Africa Talent which starts April 1, 2023. The meeting which was held on Thursday March 2, 2023 included Bridget Ampofo researching on Land Management and Land Governance; Priscilla Oyeladun on Smart Grid Security; Emmanuel Owiredu on Statistics; and Samuel Dodobatia, who joined virtually, in Electric Vehicles and Solar Photovoltaic Energy.

TUM Africa Talent is a research exchange programme that brings together talented and highly motivated doctoral candidates from the sub-Saharan Africa region with professors and doctoral candidates at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). This affords them the opportunity to share common goals such as scientific excellence, the promotion of knowledge and mutual understanding, and the desire to have a positive societal impact.

Prof. Duah indicated that TUM is one of KNUST’s deep partners and asked that this first cohort should be great ambassadors of the KNUST brand. He went through some expectations before they leave, when they get there, and on their return together with Mrs. Gladys Addai, Senior Assistant Registrar at IPO.
The team were very grateful for this opportunity the university has offered them and promised not to disappoint.
