Newly Elected Executives of the International Students’ Association of KNUST meet Management of International Programmmes Office

Newly elected executives of the International Students’ Association (ISA) of KNUST met the Management of the International Programmes Office (IPO) comprising the Dean, Professor Daniel Y.A. Duah; the Vice-Dean, Professor Esmeranda Manful; and the Assistant Registrar, Mrs. Yvonne Baiden on August 25, 2023.

Bill Akere Tamo, the Outgoing President of ISA and a 4th year B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering student, presented the new Executives to IPO Management. They are: President Elect, Peter Chol Lueth, a 3rd year B.A Sociology student from South Sudan; Vice President Elect, Deborah Oshobu Oluwayemisi, a 4th year Doctor of Pharmacy student from Nigeria; General Secretary Elect Leslie Wambo Laghom, a 3rd year B.Sc. Biomedical Engineering student from Cameroon; Financial Secretary Elect Sheriff Gaye, a 3rd Year B.Sc. Business Information Technology student from The Gambia; and Organising Secretary Elect, Julienne Ormih Gana Zanyine, 2nd year Human Biology student from Cameroon.

On behalf of the outgoing Executives of ISA, Bill Akere Tamo, thanked IPO Management for their support during their tenure. He was hopeful that the incoming Executives would work for the good of the University and the International Community.

Professor Daniel Y.A. Duah welcomed them on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and University Management. He congratulated the students on their new role as executives of ISA. He urged them to be good and exemplary leaders by making an impact in KNUST and the International Community during their term of office. He wished them well in their leadership roles. He shared a few highlights of IPO’s activities in the next Academic year that include Oseikrom Bronya, Akwaaba Night and Orientation sessions for ISA, Student stay with KNUST staff among others.

Professor Esmeranda Manful charged the new executives to energise their peers and colleagues. She added that the office is ready to work with the Executives. Mrs. Yvonne Baiden encouraged them to keep in touch with the Office and asked the executives to share their manifesto with Management.
