On Thursday, 11th September 2025, Ms. Lena Leumer, Director of the Regional Office in Accra, paid a courtesy call on Professor Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The visit formed part of her trip to Kumasi for the G-WAC Conference and focused on discussions about presidents from various universities in Germany coming to KNUST for a working visit. The proposed visit, in March 2026, is expected to be led by DAAD Global President.
Professor Daniel Duah welcomed Leumer and was excited about the proposal and assured her of the Office’s full support. This is an opportunity of expand the growing partnerships between KNUST and German universities, he said.
Also present at the meeting were Mr. Karikari Gyimah Ankoana, Inbound and Outbound Exchange Officer, and Mr. Attah-Nyame Esampong, Visibility and Communications Officer.
The meeting highlighted IPO’s commitment to fostering international collaboration and its readiness to host high-level delegations that contribute to knowledge exchange and partnership development.
