Faculty of Fachhochschule Dortmund Pays Courtesy Call on Vice Dean of International Programmes Office

On Tuesday, 22nd September 2025, a delegation from Fachhochschule Dortmund paid a courtesy call on Prof. Esmeranda Manful, Vice Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The delegation was Prof. Reinhild Schultz-Folsing, Mrs. Anne Katrin Kraine, and Prof. Christiane Fülscher. The main aim of the visit to KNUST was to explore new avenues for collaboration and foster partnerships across academic and research disciplines, starting with the Department of Architecture.

The Vice Dean warmly welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed KNUST’s commitment to the training of highly qualified professionals to address global challenges. She stated that KNUST remains committed to building strong partnerships with universities worldwide to expand its international reach through strategic alliances. She emphasized that such collaborations not only enhance academic excellence but also create meaningful opportunities for students and faculty of both countries to engage in cutting-edge projects with global relevance.

The visitors emphasized the relevance of the diversity of engagement within such partnerships, which extend beyond traditional classroom learning. They expressed interest in partnering with KNUST on collaborative building projects, joint research initiatives, student and faculty exchange programmes, and service courses designed to promote cross-disciplinary learning opportunities.
