IPO HOSTS FAREWELL CELEBRATION FOR FIRST SEMESTER EXCHANGE STUDENTS

The International Programmes Office (IPO) recently organized a memorable exit dinner in honor of international students who participated in the exchange programme during the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year on Tuesday, May 21, 2026.


The event brought together eleven (11) exchange students from @frankfurtuas, @tu.muenchen, @hochschulemuenchen (all from Germany), @aaltoarts, @uniuef (all from Finland) and @estp_officiel ( France),and staff of the IPO to celebrate a semester marked by academic growth, cultural exchange and lasting friendships.

Held in a warm and lively atmosphere, the gathering served as both a farewell and a reflection on the students’ experiences. The students had the opportunity to share highlights from their time on campus ranging from classroom achievements to cultural discoveries and personal milestones. Many expressed gratitude for the welcoming environment and the support received throughout their stay from the IPO, lecturers and colleagues.

In his remarks, the Dean, IPO, Prof. Edmund Ekuadzi, commended the students for their adaptability and active engagement in academic and extracurricular activities, emphasising on the importance of international exchange programmes in fostering global understanding and building bridges across cultures.

The evening featured music, food and moments of appreciation, including the presentation of KNUST souvenirs to the outgoing students. As the students prepare to return to their home institutions, the IPO reaffirmed its commitment to promoting internationalization and supporting student mobility. The exit party not only marked the end of a successful semester but also celebrated the enduring connections and global perspectives gained through the exchange experience.

Students who were unable to attend the event were also given the opportunity to officially give farewell to Dean and the office through courtesy calls
