On Friday, February 28, 2025, a delegation from Christ University, India, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The delegation comprised Dr. Father Sony J. Chundattu, Director of the School of Engineering and Technology; Selwyn Mascarenhas, International Admissions; and Bobby Jacob. Their visit aimed to explore potential collaborations between Christ University and KNUST.
Dr. Father Chundattu emphasized Christ University’s commitment to expanding its international partnerships, noting that their team had already visited some universities in Kenya and Ghana. He expressed their keen interest in forging a meaningful collaboration with KNUST, a prestigious institution known for its academic excellence and research contributions by focusing on Computer Science and some Engineering programmes as a start.
Professor Daniel Duah warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed enthusiasm for the proposed collaboration. He underscored the significance of international partnerships to KNUST, particularly in the areas of student exchange, faculty exchange, and joint research. He assured the delegation that the IPO would coordinate a mutually convenient date for further discussions on specific areas of cooperation. Additionally, he suggested drafting and signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to formalize the partnership and ensure its long-term success.
Also present at the meeting were Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi, the Assistant Collaborations and Partnerships Officer, and Mr. Samuel Sarpong, Visibility and Communications Officer.
