A delegation from the Africa Business Group and Joyful Agro Services paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Dean of the International Programmes Office

On Tuesday April 8, 2025, Mr. Michael Sudarkasa, CEO of Africa Business Group (ABG), an African economic development company, paid a courtesy call on Professor Esmeranda Manful, Vice Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He was accompanied by Mr. Alexander K. Duah and Mr. George Arthur, CEO and Secretary of Joyful Agro Services respectively.

The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to establish strategic partnerships aimed at enhancing practical training opportunities for KNUST students. Discussions were specifically centered on potential internship placements for Agribusiness students at the Agricultural Centre being established by Joyful Agro Sciences in collaboration with Africa Business Group at the ‘Abinkyi’ Market in Kumasi.

Professor Esmeranda Manful extended a warm welcome to the guests and provided a brief overview of KNUST’s mission, academic excellence and commitment to industry engagement. She emphasised the university’s readiness to support initiatives that bridge academia and industry, particularly those that offer students hands-on experience in their fields of study. Reassuring the delegation of IPO’s commitment to advancing this agreement, pending discussions with the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, she wished them a fruitful stay in Kumasi.

Present at the meeting were Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, Senior Assistant Registrar; Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi, Assistant Collaborations and Partnerships Officer; and Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong, Visibility and Communications Officer, all from IPO.
