Delegation from Dongfeng Motor Group, China Visits KNUST's International Programmes Office

On Friday, March 14, 2025, a four-member delegation from Dongfeng Motor Group, led by Mr. George Huang, paid a courtesy call to Prof. Daniel Y. A. Duah, the Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)

Prof. Daniel Duah warmly received the delegation and expressed appreciation for their visit. The meeting aimed to explore potential areas of collaboration between KNUST and Dongfeng Motor Group, particularly in the area of electric vehicle (EV) technology.

Mr. George Huang emphasized the growing importance of the global EV industry and the need for sustainable transportation solutions in Ghana and the West African sub-region. He expressed interest in forming a partnership that would leverage KNUST’s academic excellence and innovative research capabilities to promote electric mobility in the region.

Prof. Duah welcomed the proposal and expressed enthusiasm about the potential collaboration. He noted that any such partnership must align with KNUST’s mission of advancing academic excellence, innovation, and sustainable development, and would be subject to the necessary legal and institutional processes to ensure formalization.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Laudina Kumi-Adjei, Administrative Support Officer, and Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong, Visibility and Communications Officer.
