Delegation From Technical University of Munich Pays Courtesy Call Vice Dean of The International Programmes Office, Knust

A team from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany, comprising Dr. Ing. Anurag Mohapatra and Mr. Michael Erhart, visited the International Programmes Office (IPO) as part of their partnership engagement with The Brew-Hammond Energy Centre (TBHEC) at the College of Engineering (CoE), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

During their visit, the team, in collaboration with TBHEC, conducted an intensive training programme on practical renewable energy strategies for students from St. Louis Senior High School, Kumasi High School, KNUST Senior High School, and the CoE. The initiative focused on generating energy using basic, environmentally friendly materials such as bamboo tubes.

The delegation was accompanied Prof. David Ato Quansah, the current Director of TBHEC and Prof. Gabriel Takyi from TBHEC.

Professor Esmeranda Manful warmly welcomed the team on behalf of the University Management, commending their efforts in equipping young minds with valuable knowledge. She expressed her satisfaction with the programme’s success and highlighted its relevance in addressing climate change. She further encouraged the delegation to sustain and expand the initiative and wished them a fruitful stay and a safe return to Germany.

Also present at the meeting were Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi, Assistant Collaborations and Partnerships Officer, and Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong, Visibility and Communications Officer, both from the International Programmes Office.
