A delegation from the University of Windsor, Canada, explored partnership opportunities with KNUST’s College of Engineering

Following a visit to the International Programmes Office at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), a delegation from the University of Windsor, Canada, engaged with the leadership of the College of Engineering to explore potential areas of collaboration.

The delegation comprised Dr. Chris Busch, Associate Vice-President of Enrolment Management and Senior International Officer; Dr. Bill Van Heyst, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; and Miss Margaret Ajiduah, International Recruitment Specialist for West Africa.

They were warmly received by Professor Kwabena Biritwum Nyarko, Provost of the College of Engineering. During the meeting, both institutions shared comprehensive overviews of their respective engineering programmes. After thoughtful deliberation, the parties agreed to collaborate in the fields of Automobile Engineering and Agricultural Engineering.

Professor Nyarko emphasized that advancing agricultural transformation through technology is a core priority for the College of Engineering. The delegation also discussed the possibility of industry collaborations, particularly with the automobile sector, to help bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Pending further virtual discussions with the Management of the International Programmes Office, the parties agreed to initiate the legal processes required to formalize the partnership
