Delegation from Wrocław University Pays Courtesy Call to KNUST’s International Programmes Office

On Friday, 13th March 2026, a team from Wrocław University of Science and Technology, comprising Professor Robert Andrzej Lis and Waldemar Andrzej Rabizant, paid a courtesy call on Prof. Edmund Ekuadzi, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO), as part of their Erasmus+ KA171 teaching mobility to KNUST.

During the meeting, the delegation indicated that they had successfully completed their teaching mobility at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, KNUST, where they engaged students through interactive teaching sessions and practical question-and-answer discussions.

Discussions centered on expanding scholarship opportunities for exchange programmes and research, particularly for Master’s and PhD students within the proposed departments. Both parties also explored strategies to strengthen existing areas of cooperation while identifying new avenues for collaboration in student and staff exchanges, joint research initiatives, and capacity-building programmes.

In his remarks, Prof. Ekuadzi reaffirmed KNUST’s commitment to fostering strategic global partnerships that enhance academic excellence and cross-cultural exchange. He emphasized the importance of leveraging the visit to promote and disseminate scholarship opportunities to the student body once finalized.

The delegation, in turn, expressed their enthusiasm for building a sustainable and mutually beneficial relationship with KNUST. The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties reaffirming their shared interest in advancing collaboration and taking concrete steps toward formalizing future engagements.

Present at the meeting were Professor Kwame Owusu Kwateng of the Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems and Dr. Daniel Opoku, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Also present at the meeting were Miss Ernestine Oheneba Danso, Mr. Joel Mensah and Miss Patricia Frimpong Manso, all from the IPO.
