Exchange students and faculty from South Dakota State University, USA called on the KNUST Vice-Chancellor

On May 20, 2025, a 33-member delegation from South Dakota State University (SDSU), USA, led by Professor Greg Heiberger, paid a courtesy call on Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, Vice-Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). The visit formed part of a two-week health and cultural exchange programme, which included clinical rotations at the KNUST Hospital and cultural experiences across Kumasi.

The exchange aims to foster global healthcare learning and build lasting academic ties between SDSU and KNUST. Professor Heiberger expressed appreciation for the collaboration and affirmed SDSU’s commitment to continued partnership. Professor (Mrs.) Dickson lauded the initiative and emphasized the importance of deepening strategic ties between both institutions.

Also present at the meeting were senior faculty and staff from KNUST’s health and academic units, the International Programmes Office, and the KNUST E-Learning Centre.
