Executives of the United Nations Students’ Association at KNUST Paid Courtesy Visit to the Dean of the International Programmes Office

On Wednesday, 19th February 2025, a delegation from the United Nations Students Association (UNSA) at KNUST paid a courtesy visit to Professor Daniel Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The delegation included Mr. Daniel Takyi Agyemang (President), Mr. Baffour Gyimah (Vice President), Miss Bulu Larissa (General Secretary), Mr. Stephen Mensah Apenteng (Internal and International Affairs Officer), Miss Victoria Afful Kyeraa (Financial Secretary), and Mr. Joseph Sam (Immediate Past President).

The primary purpose of the visit was to introduce the newly elected and appointed executives, express interest in the upcoming KNUST-Aalto (Finland)-Manhyia Kumasi Trees project, and present their theme for the year—Climate Change. Mr. Takyi Agyemang highlighted that the tree planting initiative aligns with UNSA’s theme and emphasised its potential to make a significant positive impact on the environment.

Professor Daniel Duah warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his appreciation for their visit. He acknowledged that UNSA’s objectives closely align with those of the International Programmes Office and underscored the importance of active participation and strategic publicity to amplify their impact. He encouraged the association to leverage media engagement and public awareness to drive their climate agenda forward.

Also present at the meeting were Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi, the Assistant collaborations and Partnerships Officer, Mr. Joel Mensah, the Inbound-Outbound Exchange Officer and Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong, the Visibility and Communications Officer.
