Head of Strategic Partnerships at the British High Commission paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Dean of IPO

On Friday, May 23, 2025, Miss Pamela Bassah, Head of Strategic Partnerships and Diaspora Relations (SPDR) at the British High Commission in Accra, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Esmeranda Manful, Vice Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Miss Bassah was introduced to the IPO by Dr. Mrs. Antoinette Simpa, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Animal Science, and Miss Selina Angmor, Career Coach at the KNUST Career Services Centre. Her visit forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen UK-Ghana cultural and institutional ties, support diaspora engagement with Ghana, and connect British brands with the Ghanaian landscape.

During the meeting, Miss Bassah expressed her interest in exploring opportunities for collaboration, particularly in ways that can foster innovative leadership among students. She highlighted the SPDR’s mandate to deepen strategic connections between the UK and Ghana’s academic and cultural institutions.

Professor Manful warmly welcomed the delegation and provided a comprehensive overview of KNUST’s academic strengths, emphasizing the University’s commitment to active, results-oriented partnerships. She noted that KNUST's wide range of academic programmes positions it as a strong and capable partner for international collaboration. She emphasized the IPO readiness to facilitate any initiatives or activities that the UK government wishes to undertake with KNUST.

Also, present at the meeting were Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi, Assistant Collaborations and Partnerships Officer, and Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong, Visibility and Communications Officer.
