Hochschule Darmstadt, Germany Delegation Paid Courtesy Visit to Dean of International Programmes Office at KNUST

On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, a delegation from Hochschule Darmstadt, Germany, led by Miss Annabelle Bijelić, Head of the International Office, and Miss Ina Schnakenberg, Non-European Mobilities Officer, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Daniel Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Also in attendance was Professor Esmeranda Manful, Vice Dean of the IPO and Head of Department of Sociology and Social Work.

The delegation is in Ghana for a week-long Erasmus Mobility to KNUST, primarily to discuss the upcoming call for the Erasmus Mobility programme between the two institutions and to understand the operations of some units of KNUST.

They expressed their gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to them, particularly by the team and looked forward to a fruitful visit.

Welcoming the delegation, Professor Daniel Duah expressed his appreciation for the enduring partnership between KNUST and Hochschule Darmstadt. He highlighted the significance of international collaborations, particularly with German institutions, in advancing academic and research excellence at KNUST.

Professor Duah also provided an overview of KNUST’s admissions structure, after which the guests shared insights into Hochschule Darmstadt’s structure and key initiatives. The discussions reinforced the mutual commitment to strengthening existing collaborations and exploring new opportunities for academic exchange and mobility. He wished the delegation a productive stay at KNUST and expressed optimism for engaging discussions throughout the week.

Also present at the meeting were Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, the Senior Assistant Registrar, Miss Ernestine Oheneba Danso, the Collaborations and Partnerships Officer, Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi, the Assistant Collaborations and Partnerships Officer, and Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong, the Visibility and Communications Officer.
