The International Programmes has held endorsement interviews for the fourth cohort of the 2026 McCall McBain Scholarship on Friday August 1, 2025 at the Conference Room of the Singh Guest House of the IPO at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). The purpose was to interact with the 26 shortlisted applicants for endorsement for the Boursiers McCall McBain Scholarship.
The panel of assessors included the Dean of the International Programmes Office, Prof. Daniel Y. A. Duah, the Vice Dean of the IPO, Prof. Esmeranda Manful, and Prof. Mercy Badu of the Department of Chemistry and WiSTEM Gh. This years assessors included two nominations from the Global KNUST Alumni Association, as part of the mentorship programme of the 2025 Alumni Homecoming in the persons of Architect Foster Osae Akonnor, Immediate Past President of the Ghana Institute of Architects and Dr. Kwaku Agbesi, Immediate Past KNUST Global Alumni President.
At the end of the endorsement interviews, 10 applicants have been shortlisted following a 9 hour intensive engagement based on the following criteria: exceptional character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength and intellectual curiosity. This was followed by about an hour of processing of the results which would be announced on Monday.
Technical support was led by Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, Senior Assistant Registrar, and included Evelyn Safowaa and Ms. Ernestine Oheneba Danso, Senior Administrative Assistants, and Attah Nyame Essampong, in charge of Visibility and Communication all of the IPO.

The endorsed applicants would be coached and supported throughout the process by the IPO and her partners.
