On Friday, January 31, 2025, Osaberima Ansah-Sasraku III, Nana Mamfehene and Patron of the KNUST Alumni Association, Spintex, Accra alongside the newly elected global executives of the KNUST Alumni Association (TEKNOKRATS), paid a courtesy visit to Professor Rita Akosua Dickson, Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) at the Council Chamber of KNUST.
Dr. Herman Yobo Addae, Global President of the KNUST Alumni Association, outlined the purpose of the visit, which was to introduce the newly elected executive team, present their strategic plan, and engage with the university’s leadership to align on the future direction and development of their partnership.
Dr. Addae emphasized the association’s vision to become a world-class alumni body, highlighting their commitment to making a meaningful impact on the university through legacy projects and initiatives. He also shared the association’s mission to support alumni in achieving success in their respective fields and to provide mentorship for students, preparing them for the professional world.
Professor Rita Akosua Dickson warmly welcomed the delegation and congratulated the newly elected executives on their roles. She commended their dedication to elevating the KNUST Alumni Association to international prominence and expressed her enthusiasm for the initiatives they plan to undertake. Professor Dickson assured the team of the university’s full support in achieving their goals.
The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including Professor David Asamoah, Pro Vice Chancellor; Professor Daniel Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office; Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe, Deputy Registrar of the University Relations Office; Mr. James Kwasi Oberko, Senior Assistant Registrar at the Advancement and Alumni Relations Office; Dr. (Mrs.) Gloria Mathanda Ankar-Brewoo, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Food Science and Technology; and Prof. Christopher Larbie, Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, among others.
