The LAFMAAL team paid a courtesy call on the Dean of the International Programmes Office

On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, a delegation from LAFMAAL, Ivory Coast, comprising Birte Michel, Dr. Marie-Florence Akissi, Dr. Stephan Ernst Back, and Mr. Fabian Christopher Ruf, visited Professor Daniel Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The team’s visit to Ghana aimed to explore collaboration opportunities with the Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (WiSTEMGh) initiative at KNUST.

The partnership was facilitated by Dr. Akyana Britwum, a lecturer at the Department of Physics and supported by Prof. Mrs. Mercy Badu, Department of Chemistry and Secretary of WiSTEM_Gh.

Professor Daniel Duah extended a warm welcome on behalf of the university’s management, indicating that growing South-South partnership is a strategic move by KNUST and that the office would work to support the achievement of the objectives of the partnership.

Also present at the meeting were Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, Senior Assistant Registrar; Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi, Assistant Collaborations and Partnerships Officer; and Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong, Visibility and Communications Officer.
