Management of International Programmes Office Met FFAF Scholars

On February 19, 2025, Professor Daniel Y. A. Duah and Professor Esmeralda Manful, Dean and Vice Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) respectively, met with 6 female students selected for the Francis Faki Amanquah Foundation (FFAF) Scholarship ahead of the official award presentation.

The scholarship, established through a Memorandum of Understanding between KNUST and FFAF, aims to support second-year female students in Computer Engineering and Computer Science welcomed its second cohort after rigorous assessment of applications.

Three students each from Computer Engineering and Computer Science in the persons of Ms. Delali Mina TORGAH, Ms. Christabel BENEWAAH, Ms. Khadija Ndaiya KAMIL, Ms. Ikhlas Adeola ABDUL-SATTAR, Ms. Ampem Kobi AFRIYIE, Ms. Isobel Naa Norkor NOYE have been selected.

The scholarship package includes tuition fees, accommodation, a stipend, and a laptop, all provided by the FFAF. This comprehensive support aims to alleviate financial burdens and empower the recipients to excel in their academic pursuits.

Professor Daniel Duah congratulated the recipients, emphasizing the significance of the opportunity and urging them to approach their studies with dedication. He together with the vice Dean encouraged the awardees to maintain focus, persevere through challenges, and serve as role models for future scholarship beneficiaries. Additionally, the students were invited to seek guidance from the IPO when needed.

The meeting was also attended by Ms.Yvonne Baiden, Senior Assistant Registrar, Ms. Ernestine Oheneba Danso, Ms. Dorcas Mina Baah-Boateng and Mr. Atta-Nyame from the IPO and the members of the first cohort comprising Ms. Afua Twumasi Britwum, Ms. Mohammed Suraiya, Ms. Ernestina Afriyie Amoako, Ms.Esther Efua Acquandoh.
