On Thursday, July 10, 2025, Mr. Paul Kochs, a Master’s student in Development and Rural Innovation at Wageningen University, the Netherlands, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Mr. Kochs was introduced to the IPO by Mr. Stephen Oppong Osei-Tutu, Senior Administrative Assistant at the Advancement and Alumni Relations Office.
During the visit, he explained that he is in Ghana for a three-month research stay, conducting fieldwork in rural areas around Kumasi as part of his Master’s thesis. He expressed admiration for KNUST’s reputation and shared his interest in exploring potential research collaboration with the university, particularly in the area of cocoa production.
Professor Daniel Duah warmly welcomed Mr. Kochs and highlighted the University’s commitment to impactful partnerships and international collaboration. He assured him of the IPO’s support in connecting him with relevant stakeholders to explore possibilities for future cooperation and formal engagements. He looked forward to connecting with the international Office of Wageningen University. The Dean also wished him a fruitful research period and a pleasant stay in Kumasi.
