Outbound Staff and Students of the Department of Physics, KNUST Share Experiences from Germany with Dean of International Programmes

A group of staff and postgraduate students from the Department of Physics at th Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), who attended a conference on Quantum Science in Germany, visited the International Programmes Office (IPO) to share their experiences with Professor Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean of IPO on March 26, 2025.

The delegation was led by Dr. Henry Martin and Dr. Michael Edem Donkor, lecturers in the Department of Physics, and included Mr. Philip Yawli, Mr. Abraham Gyamfi, Mr. Elorm Quarshie, and Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Rhaman.

The students recounted their enriching experiences at the University of Bonn and the Technical University of Dortmund where they had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various theoretical subjects studied at KNUST and showcased their knowledge through poster presentations at the conference.

Dr. Martin highlighted that Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between KNUST and the German institutions had been officially signed by representatives of both universities, strengthening the collaboration. He presented the signed documents to Professor Duah.

Professor Daniel Duah warmly welcomed the team and commended them for representing KNUST with excellence on the international stage. He emphasized the importance of such academic mobility initiatives and encouraged the students to share their insights with their colleagues. He also wished them success in their academic pursuits.

Also present at the meeting were Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi, Assistant Collaborations and Partnerships Officer; Miss Blessing, a Human Resources finalist and intern; and Attah-Nyame Essampong, Visibility and Communications Officer.
