On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Ms. Audrey Forson, President of the Interior Designers and Decorators Ghana (IDDG), led a delegation on a courtesy visit to Professor Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). This follows an earlier visit by IDDG executives to the IPO in a bid to form a meaningful partnership. The delegation included Pierre Marawi, Managing Director of DFWI Ghana Limited and representative for BLUM and EGGER brands; Martin Farmer, Head of Sales in Africa & Middle East for EGGER; Tobias Joseph, Adebayo Adegbeye, and Obiri Yeboah Mensah, representing BLUM’s African sales team; and Jeremy Hymore, IDDG Administrator.

The purpose of the visit was to hold a workshop at the Department of Architecture, scheduled for later that day. The workshop aimed to enhance skills and foster networking among design professionals in Ghana and beyond. It also featured interactive sessions where participating students stood a chance to win prizes by answering questions during the event.

Professor Daniel Duah warmly welcomed the delegation and commended their efforts in promoting the interior design industry. He underscored the importance of industry-academia partnerships in driving innovation and excellence, while extending his best wishes for a successful workshop and a fruitful visit to KNUST.

Also present at the meeting were Ms. Ernestine Oheneba Danso, Collaborations and Partnerships Officer, and Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong, Visibility and Communications Officer, both of the IPO. Their presence highlighted the office’s commitment to fostering meaningful collaborations and ensuring the success of such initiatives.
