On Monday, February 3, 2025, Professor John Parker from the Mathematical Sciences Department at Durham University, UK, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He was accompanied by Dr. Richard Kena Boadi, a Senile Lecturer at the Department of Mathematics at KNUST.
Professor Parker, who has been in Ghana for ten days, took the opportunity to visit Professor Duah before returning to the United Kingdom. Dr. Boadi highlighted the impact of Professor Parker’s visit, stating that his engagement with the Department of Mathematics had been highly beneficial. Over the past week, his facilitation of lessons had greatly motivated students and enriched their academic experience.
Professor Daniel Duah warmly welcomed him and reaffirmed KNUST’s commitment to providing her students with global exposure. He emphasized that fostering international collaborations and partnerships plays a vital role in achieving this goal. Expressing his appreciation for Professor Parker’s contributions, he wished him a safe journey back to the UK.
