On Thursday, 9 April 2026, Professor Thomas Tscheulin of the University of the Aegean, Greece, together with his wife, paid a courtesy call on Professor Edmund Ekuadzi, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at KNUST.
The visit formed part of Professor Tscheulin’s staff mobility engagement at KNUST. He noted that the experience had provided a valuable opportunity to gain deeper insight into the University’s academic environment, establish meaningful networks, and explore potential areas for joint research collaboration. He commended KNUST for its warm hospitality and described the research activities at the University as impactful and globally relevant. He further highlighted that their stay had been culturally enriching and indicated their intention to explore other parts of Ghana before returning to Greece.

In his remarks, Professor Ekuadzi warmly welcomed Professor Tscheulin and his wife, expressing his delight at their visit. He emphasized that such engagements align with KNUST’s commitment to internationalization through active and strategic partnerships. He assured Professor Tscheulin of the Office’s full support in advancing joint research initiatives, noting that such collaborations would create valuable opportunities for students in both Ghana and Greece. He concluded by wishing them a pleasant and fruitful stay.
Also present at the meeting were Professor Jonathan Nartey Hogarh, Head of the Department of Environmental Science; Professor Alexander Kofi Anning, Head of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Biology; Ms. Ernestine Oheneba Danso, and Mr. Joel Mensah, both from the International Programmes Office.
