Prof. Susan G. Young, a graphic designer, illustrator, and animator of the Department of Associate Degree and Chair of the Associate Programmes Degree at the Pratt Institute School of Art, USA paid a courtesy call on the Vice Dean of the International Programmes Office, Prof. Esmeranda Manful, on August 10, 2023. She was accompanied by Zach Whitehurst, a visiting instructor of the Department of Associate Degree and Assistant Chair of the Associate Programmes Degree at the Pratt Institute School of Art.
The Pratt Institute is a world-class and internationally ranked college with programmes in art, design, architecture, liberal arts and sciences, and information studies which offers nearly 50 undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.
The purpose of their visit is to create connections between Pratt Institute and KNUST and explore possibilities for collaborations and study abroad programmes.
Prof. Manful welcomed the team to KNUST on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and University Management. She gave an overview of the University and expressed her delight in the possibility of establishing a collaboration with Pratt Institute.
At the meeting were Professor Karî’kachä Seid’ou, Dean, Faculty of Art; Dr. George Ampratwum and Mr. Kwaku Boafo Kissiedu, both Senior Lecturers from the Department of Painting and Sculpture, Ms. Susana Asamoah, Registrar, Faculty of Art, and Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, Assistant Registrar, International Programmes Office.
