Representatives from the International Students Association (ISA) Pays Courtesy Call on IPO Management on Friday, February 06, 2026, to Strengthen Collaboration

Representatives of the International Students Association (ISA), KNUST, led by Miss Divine Jaja Tamunoiprinye, President of the Association, and Mr. Muma Caleb Fosah, Vice President, paid a courtesy call on the Management of the International Programmes Office (IPO) as part of efforts to formally introduce the newly elected executives and explore avenues for collaboration.

The delegation, which included Mr. Aaron Semwanga (General Secretary), Miss Njietcheu Ngamaleu Reine (Organizing Secretary), Mr. Ifediora Emmanuel Ebere Obialor (Public Relations Officer), Mr. Alphonce Odhiambo (Project Coordinator), and Miss Kadidiata Coulibaly (Finance Secretary), engaged in fruitful discussions aimed at enhancing the experience of international students on campus.

The meeting provided an avenue for the representatives to share their vision for the Association and highlight key areas where collaboration with the IPO would be beneficial. These included student support services, cultural exchange activities, orientation programmes, and the promotion of international mobility opportunities. Discussions also focused on the joint organization of events such as cultural festivals, informational sessions on exchange programmes, and engagement activities for visiting international delegations.

Management of the IPO, led by the Dean, Prof. Edmund Ekuadzi, warmly welcomed the delegation and commended the Association for its proactive approach to building strong working relationships. The Office reaffirmed its commitment to supporting international students and working closely with the ISA to implement initiatives that foster inclusivity, cross-cultural understanding, and academic excellence.

Both parties expressed optimism about the positive impact such collaborations would have on the international student community and the University at large.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to maintain open communication and regular engagement to ensure the successful implementation of agreed initiatives. This engagement marks a significant step towards strengthening partnerships between the International Students Association and the International Programmes Office, further reinforcing KNUST’s dedication to internationalization and student-centered support.

Also present at the meeting were Professor Edmund Ekuadzi Dean, IPO; Professor Mrs. Augustina Angelina Sylverken, Vice Dean; Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, Senior Assistant Registrar; Mr Joel Mensah, Inbound and Outbound Officer; and Miss Patricia Frimpong Manso, Visibility and Communications Officer, all from the International Programmes Office.
