On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, a delegation from the Research and Grants Centre (RGC) of Heritage Christian University (HCU), Accra, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The delegation included Mr. Kwame Twumasi-Ankrah, Head of the RGC, and Mr. Michael Oppong, Senior Administrative Assistant at the Centre. They were introduced to the IPO by Mr. Edward Abeku Ampah, Principal Administrative Assistant at KNUST’s Office of Grants and Research (OGR).

Mr. Ampah noted that the delegation was on a working visit to the OGR. As a relatively new office - just under two years old - the RGC of HCU is keen on learning from more established institutions like KNUST to strengthen its operations. The courtesy call to the Dean of IPO was part of their broader mission to gather insights and explore potential areas of collaboration.

In his remarks, Mr. Twumasi-Ankrah gave a brief overview of HCU, highlighting its current student population of around 1,000 and its academic offerings at both undergraduate and master's levels.

Professor Daniel Duah, on behalf of University Management, warmly welcomed the delegation. He provided a comprehensive overview of KNUST, emphasizing the University's commitment to supporting the growth and capacity-building of other tertiary institutions in Ghana. He stated that KNUST’s position as one of Africa’s leading universities has been made possible in part through partnerships, and he encouraged HCU to consider establishing an international office to facilitate future collaborations.

“We are always open to partnerships and knowledge sharing,” Professor Duah stated, assuring the delegation of IPO’s willingness to provide guidance and support in establishing such an office at HCU.

Also present at the meeting were Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, Senior Assistant Registrar; Miss Ernestine Oheneba Danso, Collaborations and Partnerships Officer; Mr. Livingstone Agbenorxevi, Assistant Collaborations and Partnerships Officer; and Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong, Visibility and Communications Officer, all of the IPO.
