International students won multiple awards at the 3rd edition of the Vice-Chancellor’s Students’ Excellence Awards

In a celebration of exceptional student achievement, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) honoured 55 outstanding students at the third edition of the Vice-Chancellor’s Students’ Excellence Awards (VCSEA 2025).

The awards ceremony, a flagship initiative of the University’s visionary Vice-Chancellor, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, was organised by the Directorate of Students Affairs.

In her welcome address, Professor Dickson commended the awardees for their distinction among peers, remarking, “We see you, and we appreciate you,” as she reaffirmed the University’s commitment to recognising student excellence across multiple domains.

Award recipients were celebrated for their achievements in academics, leadership, sports, innovation, and community impact.

Among the honorees were three international students who stood out by receiving multiple awards across different categories. Mr. Pascal Milambo Muzungu was recognised as the Outstanding International Students Association Executive. Mr. Noë Fondop earned two distinctions: Outstanding International Students Association Executive and Outstanding Volunteer. Mr. Nimbot Fogang Brice was acknowledged as the Outstanding GRASAG Committee Member.

The International Programmes Office, represented by Professor Daniel Duah, Dean, and Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, Senior Assistant Registrar, congratulated the award recipients. Professor Duah noted that these recognitions affirm KNUST’s unwavering commitment to providing equal opportunities for all students, regardless of nationality.

The event once again underscored KNUST’s role as a centre for excellence, inclusivity, and transformative education.
