IPO HOSTS VISITING SCHOLARS FROM UNIVERSITY OF HOHENHEIM AND TU BERLIN

On Thursday, 7th May 2026, a brief but meaningful courtesy visit was held at the International Programmes Office (IPO) of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. The visit was led by Prof. Camillus Abawiera Wongnaa, who officially introduced two visiting PhD researchers from Germany, Ms. Esther Amankwah from University of Hohenheim and Ms. Funzi Olga Bulisi from Technical University of Berlin.

The meeting, organized to formally welcome the researchers to KNUST and express appreciation to the Dean and the International Programmes Office for their continuous support in facilitating academic and research activities involving international scholars at the University.

Discussions centered primarily on the research activities of the visiting scholars, who are currently at KNUST to collect data for their PhD studies. The researchers are being hosted by Prof. Camillus Abawiera Wongnaa in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness and Extension, KNUST, as part of their field research engagement.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of cultural exchange, academic networking, and the University’s commitment to supporting international research cooperation and global engagement.

The courtesy call ended with words of gratitude and mutual appreciation, as both parties expressed hope for a successful and impactful research stay for the visiting scholars at KNUST.
