Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and Iowa State a University of Science and Technology, USA have renewed the memorandum of understanding between the two institutions on Thursday March 2, 2023 at the Council Chamber.Â
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson signed for KNUST and this was witnessed by the Registrar, Andrews Kwasi Boateng. Prof. Sriram Sundararajan, Professor & Associate Dean, College of Engineering and leader of the Iowa State team signed and this was witnessed by Jennifer Lynn Hogan, International Programs Director, College of Design.Â
It will be recalled that in 2017, the two institutions signed an MOU to collaborate. Main activities have focused on the College of Engineering of the two institutions focusing on the work of Engineers Without Borders and the hands on building construction work at Ullo in the Upper West Region of Ghana and the provision of micro finance for the women of the locality. This new MOU expands to include teams from the Colleges of Art and Built Environment and Agriculture and Natural Resources.Â
