KNUST International Programmes Office presented best practices in managing partnerships in higher education institutions at Partners Day at the Technical University of Munich

Prof. Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) spoke at the ongoing EuroTech Partner Days at the Technical University of Munich, Germany where about 80 participants across the world are attending at the Garching Campus.

Speaking on the topic, best practices in managing partnerships in higher education institutions using the KNUST example, Prof. Duah’s presentation was in four parts.

First, he shared an overview of the university and her core values for participants to appreciate the status of the university.

Next he focused on the importance of partnerships in HEIs and the role of the International Programmes Office in the internationalization agenda of KNUST.

Then, Prof. Daniel Duah explained the MOU architecture of KNUST and how it is managed by the IPO highlighting some activities including MOU compendium, appreciation for initiators of MOUs, progress reports for MOU implementation, international students welfare, and the development of the latest tool: KNUST Partnership Management Platform, an app which garnered very keen interest from participants.

Prof. Duah ended by highlighting some challenges faced by KNUST, her next steps, best practices learned and then shared some insightful closing thoughts.

The KNUST team included the Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. David Asamoah and the Deputy Director for University Information System in charge of Cyber Security, Phanue Seli Kwadzo Asense.
