KNUST Signed Memorandum of Agreement with AMIRA Global

On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, a delegation from AMIRA Global, led by Mr. Anthony Anyimadu, Vice President, met with Professor Mrs. Rita Akosua Dickson, Vice Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), along with the leadership of the College of Engineering and International Programmes Office to officially sign a memorandum of agreement between the two institutions.

Prof. Dickson warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed her excitement about the partnership with AMIRA Global, a consortium of over 70 global mining companies. She assured the delegation that KNUST would continue to equip individuals with the necessary skills for the mining industry.

Following assurances from Ing. Anyimadu, an alumnus of KNUST, about the commitment of Amira to the success of the partnership, the agreement was successfully signed, and both parties committed to diligently fulfilling the terms of the agreement.

Also present at the signing ceremony were Professor Kwabena Biritwum Nyarko, Provost of the College of Engineering; Professor Daniel Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office; Professor Emmanuel Asuming Frimpong, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering; Professor Kwaku Amaning Adjei; Professor Kwadwo Mensah-Darkwa; Ms. Redeemina Comfort Bona; and Mr. Bright Makafui Foli, Programme Managers at AMIRA Global.
