KNUST Signed Memorandum of Understanding with Estonian Academy of Arts

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, a delegation from the Estonian Academy of Arts, comprising Professor Mart Kalm, Rector; Andres Tammsaar, Financial Director; and Sandra Mell, Head of International Office, met with Professor David Asamoah, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), to officially sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.

Professor Asamoah warmly welcomed the visitors and emphasized that partnerships are a key pillar of the Vice Chancellor’s initiatives. He expressed KNUST's enthusiasm for the collaboration and its commitment to working with the Estonian Academy of Arts.

Professor Daniel Duah, Dean of the International Programmes Office, highlighted the initial interactions with the Estonian Academy of Arts that led to the proposal for the memorandum of understanding including some staff and student mobilities.

After discussions and mutual assurances, the agreement was successfully signed.

Also present at the meeting were Mr. Andrews Kwasi Boateng, Registrar; Prof. Karikacha Seidou, Dean of the Faculty of Art who also stood in for the Provost of the College of Art and Built Environment; Prof. Edwin Bodjawah, Head of Department of Art; and Dr. Kwaku Boafo Kissiedu, Senior Lecturer at the Department and Coordinator for International Programmes for Art. It also included staff from the International Programmes Office.
