On Monday, September 29, 2025, the outgoing International Student’s Coordinator for GRASAG paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Prof. Esmeranda Manful.

The visit was for Mr Nembot Fogang Brice Armel, Outgoing International Students Coordinator, to bid farewell and to introduce Francis Azubuike, the incoming International Students Coordinator.

Prof. Manful welcomed the leaders to the Office and highlighted that they were students of KNUST to begin with, and international students as their second identity in Ghana. She informed them of the VC’s goal to ensure that all international students at KNUST see Ghana as their second home. Therefore, events such as Oseikrom Bronya, the Akwaaba Night and the Easter Homestay have been established to ensure they do not feel too homesick. She also stated how the participation of the postgraduate students in the IPO activities had helped make the programme diverse. Prof. Manful also advised that the leadership of the ISC, GRASAG should try to integrate other students from other continents, such as the Europeans on exchange programmes and try to involve Ghanaian students in their activities.

The Outgoing Coordinator, Mr Nembot Fogang Brice Armel, expressed his gratitude to the IPO for the support and how the office made the international students feel at home and welcomed in Ghana. The incoming coordinator also stated how grateful the association was and that they were also going to work on the advice of the vice dean about the integration of the other students from the other continent and Ghanaians alike.

The meeting was supported by the IPO team, which included Ms Dorcas Mina Baah-Boateng, Hospitality and Operations Officer, and Mr. Attah-Nyame Esampong, Visibility and Communications Officer.
