On Thursday, May 29, 2025, Mr. Evelyn Lewis, Founder and CEO of SBTS Group (USA), visited the International Programmes Office (IPO) of KNUST to formalize a partnership through a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement, initially endorsed by KNUST’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mrs. Akosua Dickson, was countersigned by Mr. Lewis during the ceremony.

Mr. Lewis was introduced by Professor Eric Appau Asante, Director of the KNUST E-Learning Centre, and Mrs. Abigail Dzama Anderson, Senior Assistant Registrar of the Centre. Professor Asante noted that the MoU followed productive discussions initiated during Mr. Lewis’s earlier visit to the E-Learning Centre. The IPO facilitated the agreement through the University’s standard approval channels.

During the meeting, Mr. Lewis outlined SBTS Group’s collaborative vision with KNUST, focusing on Training Program Implementation, Facility Development, Faculty Development, and Student Engagement, including creating employment pathways through SBTS’s global network.

Professor Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean of the IPO, warmly welcomed the partnership, stressing KNUST’s prioritization of entrepreneurship-centered collaborations. He affirmed the University’s commitment to translating agreements into tangible outcomes, in line with Vice-Chancellor Dickson’s leadership, and expressed optimism for a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship.

Also present at the meeting were Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, Senior Assistant Registrar of the IPO; Professor Nana Ewusi-Mensah, Associate Professor of Crop and Soil Sciences; and staff from the E-Learning Centre.
