University of Michigan School of Nursing Students Call on Dean of International Programmes Office

A group of four students from the University of Michigan School of Nursing namely, Zion Mary Shalom Helms, Olivia Rebekah Arguello, Mia Simone Snowden and Naomi Vandervelde going to their senior year have called on the Dean of the International Programmes Office, Prof. Daniel Duah on May 17, 2023.

The nursing students who arrived at KNUST on 14th May, 2023 are currently embarking on a Study Abroad Programme for 6 weeks at the University Hospital, KNUST. In addition, they intend to have a cultural and traditional experience during their stay in and out of KNUST and also visit tourist sites.

On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and Management of the University, Prof. Duah welcomed the group to KNUST, a leading science and technology university in Africa. He congratulated the students for taking such a bold step for this life changing experience to study abroad in Ghana and at KNUST. He assured them that they were in a good place and had a wonderful team to take care of them. He wished the team well and asked that they make the most of the global exposure they have.

Present at the meeting were Ms. Joana Kyei-Dompim, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Nursing, KNUST and Mrs. Yvonne Baiden, Assistant Registrar at the International Programmes Office.
