Professor Eddie Mwenje, Vice Chancellor of Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE), Zimbabwe along with his Assistant, Mr. Daniel Chihombori, paid a visit to the KNUST E-Learning Centre of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). The delegation was warmly welcomed by Professor Eric Appau Asante, Director and Mrs. Abigail Dzama Anderson, Senior Assistant Registrar.
During the visit, Professor Appau Asante and his team provided a detailed tour of the facilities, explaining how the centre supports KNUST’s mission to integrate online learning into its academic programs. The Vice Chancellor was also given the opportunity to participate in a short podcast session, highlighting the centre’s innovative approaches to digital education.
Following the tour, the delegation visited the University Information Technology Services (UITS) Data Centre, where they learned about KNUST’s cutting-edge strategies for enhancing campus security.
Professor Mwenje expressed great admiration for the facilities and initiatives and showed a strong interest in potential collaborations, particularly in the area of cybersecurity.
Also in attendance were Ms. Ernestine Oheneba Danso, Collaborations and Partnerships Officer; Mr. Attah-Nyame Essampong, Visibility and Communications Officer; and Mr. Joel Mensah, Inbound and Outbound Exchange Officer, all from KNUST’s International Programmes Office.
